Gina Bloom did what any mother in danger would do in the face of domestic abuse, she asked for help. What followed was a years-long battle not only to protect her children, but to survive a legal system that retaliated, distorted, and isolated her.
A legal immigrant from Romania, Gina came to the United States in 2007. She studied, paid her way through the immigration process, and built a life in line with American values. But when she turned to the courts for protection, she became the target.
She followed every rule. She reported severe domestic abuse. She trusted the process. But the system didn’t protect her, and instead, punished her.
The court-appointed guardian ad litem in her case, a figure meant to represent the best interests of her children. Gina, meanwhile, lost her job due to stalking and credible threats. She now lives in hidden housing because her risk level is classified as lethality-level high.
In desperation, she called more than 30 domestic violence organizations in King and Snohomish County. Only two showed up.
And even their efforts were almost undone by the damage of the court’s false narrative—a narrative that clouded her reputation and left her cut off from support, resources, and justice.
Now, Gina is going public. She spent years studying lawful, practices, ethics, and civic duties that resulted in filing multiple lawsuits, including against the man that abused her for over a decade, state and county actors, and a guardian ad litem with a law license. Her filings are backed by public records, court records, sealed transcripts, and sworn evidence.
Bloom Action exists to bring this truth forward—and to make sure no one in power can say they didn’t know.
Gina’s case is not just about one woman. It’s about how systems protect themselves, even when children are at risk. It’s about how courts use bias, sealed rulings and immunity to operate without oversight. And it’s about what happens when someone refuses to be erased.
This campaign is not driven by emotion or retaliation. It’s driven by documentation, legal action, and the growing support of attorneys, advocates, and public officials who believe in constitutional rights, due process, and institutional accountability.
Gina told the truth. She brought the evidence. Now it’s up to the rest of us to act.
